Campus Seminar: Igniting Software Careers

The Techogies Campus Seminar was hosted at the UBI Auditorium in Sigra, Varanasi — a landmark event that brought together more than three hundred aspiring engineers, designers and problem-solvers under one roof. The room was buzzing well before the session started; students had travelled from multiple colleges across the region, laptops in hand, curious about what a modern software career actually looks like.

The seminar was organised with a very specific mission: to close the widening gap between what colleges teach and what the industry now hires for. Most students told us they had learned syntax, but had never shipped anything real. We wanted to change that story in a single afternoon.

The session opened with a candid walkthrough of the developer landscape in 2025 — the rise of full-stack roles, the merging of design and engineering, the impact of AI on daily workflows, and the skills that hiring managers now filter for on the very first call. We then moved into live demonstrations covering React, modern backend design, deployment on the edge, and how professional teams collaborate using Git, code reviews and CI pipelines.

The most memorable part was the Q&A. Students asked sharp, honest questions — about internships, imposter syndrome, salary expectations, how to build a portfolio without an internship, and how to stay relevant as AI tools evolve. Every question got a straight, unfiltered answer. Several students later told us it was the first time a technical session had felt like a real conversation instead of a lecture.
