Cyber Security Awareness Session

In an era where a single click can compromise an entire household, the Techogies Cyber Security Awareness Session was designed to make students, parents and faculty genuinely safer online — not just informed. The hall filled up quickly, and by the time the opening slide appeared, every seat was taken.

The workshop began with real, recent case studies from India: OTP frauds, fake job offer scams, phishing links disguised as courier updates, and the alarming rise of 'digital arrest' scams targeting families. Watching how quickly a well-crafted message can pressure someone into transferring money left the audience visibly shaken — and much more attentive.

We then moved into a live demonstration. Students saw how attackers profile a target using nothing but public information, how weak passwords are cracked in seconds, and how a hardware key or a properly configured authenticator app instantly changes the equation. Ethical hacking was framed the right way — as a career, a mindset and a responsibility, not a shortcut.

The session closed with a clear, printable checklist that every attendee could apply the same evening: strong unique passwords, 2FA everywhere, verifying senders, freezing credit inquiries, and how to react in the first ten minutes if something does go wrong. Several teachers requested a follow-up session for their students' families.
