Tech Community Meetup

Connecting aspiring developers with mentors and industry professionals.

Varanasi, India November 2025 400+ attendees Akash Bhattacharya Public Community Hall Meetup

The Techogies Tech Community Meetup was our largest public gathering of the year — an open, no-ticket evening built around one idea: put learners and working professionals in the same room and let real conversations happen. Over four hundred people showed up, from first-year students to senior engineers.

The keynote focused on 'Digital Arrest' — a fast-growing category of cyber-enabled financial fraud that has hit families across the country. We broke down exactly how the scam works, why it succeeds, and the specific verbal and visual cues that give it away. Several attendees said they recognised a call their own relative had received the previous month.

After the keynote, the room broke into open circles — Full Stack, AI, Cyber Security, and Career Switch. Mentors moved between circles answering everything from 'how do I start' to 'how do I negotiate my first offer'. The energy was closer to a community festival than a formal talk.

We closed with a live demo of a small production project built end-to-end during the session, followed by giveaways and a group photo. The follow-up was even better: dozens of attendees joined the Techogies mentorship program in the days that followed, and several formed their own study groups that are still meeting weekly.

Highlights

  • 400+ attendees from students to senior engineers
  • Keynote on Digital Arrest and modern cyber fraud
  • Open mentorship circles across four tracks
  • Live end-to-end product demo
  • New study groups formed on the spot
  • Dozens of mentorship program sign-ups afterwards

The fastest way to grow as a developer is to sit in a room with people better than you — and ask better questions.
